Higuain Liverpool: Reds chasing new striker
10) Isco (Real Madrid)
Creative midfielder linked with a £32.1m move by the Liverpool Echo. A classy player who is far from an automatic choice at Madrid, and could therefore be tempted into a move.
9) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)
Top scoring Englishman in the Premier League and recently called up by England. The youngster is one of the hottest prospects in football. Liverpool are just one of a number of clubs interested in the player, who could be worth upwards of £15m.

A free agent at the end of the season, the Villa midfielder has been in impressive form so far this season, prior to a recent injury. Also earned a place in the England squad, and did well. Several clubs are keeping tabs.
7) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint Germain)
The free scoring Uruguayan striker has regularly spoken about his frustration at playing in Paris, where he continues to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Liverpool are believed to be among those interested.
6) Asier Illarramendi (Real Madrid)
Has fallen down the pecking order in Madrid following several further summer arrivals. The Spanish international has been linked with a loan move to Liverpool, and could be a shrewd addition at Anfield.
5) William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon)
The long-term Arsenal and Chelsea target is now on Liverpool’s radar. The £37m rated holding midfielder fits Brendan Rodgers description of an ideal signing – a young, exciting prospect who can come straight into the team.
4) Jackson Martinez (Porto)
The most recent man to be linked with replacing the struggling Mario Balotelli. The £30m rated Colombian international has scored 72 goals in 106 games for Porto, and is also interesting Arsenal.
3) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
Much has been made of the German’s £20m buyout clause, which comes into effect at the end of the season. Liverpool are one of many European giants interested in securing the players signature.
2) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)
After missing out on the Champions League, the Argentine could be more than open to a move across Europe. He has an impressive goal record in club football, with both Real Madrid and Napoli, and could be a huge coup for the Reds.

Liverpool have also been linked with a sensational move for the in form Real Madrid striker, with the Spanish giants potentially open to accepting a big money offer. What a signing he would be for the Reds.
