The hierarchy at Upton Park have tabled a six-year offer to Reid with weekly wages of £75,000 as interest in the centre-back increases from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs,

The New Zealand international is out of contract next summer and therefore if the Hammers can not convince him to sign a new deal he could leave for a cut-price fee in January, or even for free at the end of the season.

Reid has been instrumental in the strong start Sam Allardyce’s team have made to the 2014/15 campaign, which currently sees West Ham sitting in fifth position, but is known to want to test himself in European football.

Although currently the East London club are in a Europa League place, whether they can maintain their impressive form is another matter and the 26-year-old could well be tempted by the likes of the Gunners, Reds and Spurs.

Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for defensive recruitment with only six first team defenders currently in his squad, whilst both the Merseysiders and Tottenham want to also make improvements at the back.
