How the Blues will line up to take on the Shrews on Tuesday night.
Just 48 hours after being held to a draw with Manchester United, Jose Mourinho’s men are gearing up for another game. However, this one has a slightly different flavour to it as they will travel to Shropshire to take on League Two side Shrewsbury. It’s likely that there will be wholesale changes as Mourinho will not want to overburden his squad, and a few of the side’s fringe players will get their chance of a run out.

GK: Petr Cech
The Czech stopper will ensure that the Blues are still in safe hands as he deputises for Thibaut Courtois.
RB: Branislav Ivanovic
Ivanovic will likely retain his place in the squad to give the back line a sense of cohesion.

‘Happy’ will come in for John Terry to add some braun to the defence.
CB: Gary Cahill
Makeshift skipper for the night, like Ivanovic he will be keeping the defence flowing.
LB: Felipe Luis
With Azpilicueta still banned, a lot will be expected of the Brazilian, even against Shrewsbury.
DM: John Obi Mikel
Mikel came on late against United, but is expected to play from the start against the Shrews.
DM: Nemanja Matic
The Serb is in a rich vein of form right now, and he will be kept in to compensate for Fabregas’ absence.
LW: Mohamed Salah
Salah still hasn’t made a regular starting spot his own at Stamford Bridge, and is relying on games like this to give him a run out from the start.
RW: Andre Schurrle
Schurrle also came from the batch on Sunday, but will play a bigger part on Tuesday and will be looked upon to cause some significant damage.
AM: Oscar
Probably won’t go the full distance, but will do his job and make way for someone to sit deeper depending on the score.
ST: Loic Remy
Mourinho won’t want to risk Drogba or Costa, both of whom have been carrying injuries lately.
