One of the best defenders in the league, N’Koulou combines immense physical power with composure on the ball. He’s only 24, but is already an experienced and trusted international with Cameroon. Sides like Man United and Liverpool with problems in central defence should consider his services.

The hype surrounding the young French midfielder is increasing, and a £25m move to Chelsea has been mooted. He provides a consistent box-to-box influence for his club side, and has been likened to Michael Essien and Paul Pogba as a result.
5) Alexandre Lacazette – Lyon
Liverpool fancied the forward in the summer, but bought Mario Balotelli instead. The Frenchman’s bagged eight goals and registered three assists in ten appearances far this term, and the Reds may well be regretting their decision.
4) Simon Kjaer – Lille
Aged 25, the Danish defender is approaching his peak years as a centre-back, and has started this season excellently with Lille. He’s similar in style to his international partner Daniel Agger – in that he likes to drive into midfield with the ball at his feet, and is a threat from attacking set-pieces.

Premier League clubs should snap up this ultra exciting fullback as soon as possible, because he’s showing the potential to develop into one of the best left-backs in the business. Kurzama bombs forward up his flank the entire 90 minutes, constantly overlapping his winger. He’s feisty, too, and has assisted two goals already this term.
2) Andre-Pierre Gignac – Marseille
Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more league goals in Europe so far than the powerful Frenchman. He can hold the ball up, battle, and most importantly – finish with either foot or his head. Would be a great option for any club at the right price.
Maxime Gonalons – Lyon
The Lyon captain, Gonalons is a product of the club’s academy, and his worked his way through the ranks to become a key player for the side. He would suit the Premier League because he can tackle, pass and prides himself on an excellent work-rate.
