7) Raheem Sterling – Liverpool (vs. QPR)

The attacker’s “tiredness” has been the main news story in England over the international break and he will hope to prove that he’s been refreshed by his break with a big game against QPR.

6) Remy Cabella -Newcastle United (vs. Leicester City)

Cabella has been one of several Newcastle players who have bitterly disappointed since their arrival in the summer.

This is likely to be his last chance to prove that his quality before he suffers the humiliation of being replaced by Gabriel Obertan.

5) Sandro – QPR (vs. Liverpool)

The midfielder will be terrified at the news that Tim Sherwood, the man who froze him out at Tottenham Hotspur, is favourite for the Hoops job.

Sandro must put in a huge performance to make himself impossible to be dropped if Harry Redknapp is sacked.

4) Robin Van Persie – Manchester United (vs. West Bromwich Albion)

The number of forwards at United means that there’s always at least one of them under pressure to perform.

This week its RVP’s turn to sweat, and he will hope to score at least one against West Brom to prevent Wayne Rooney taking his place up front.

3) Mathieu Flamini – Arsenal (vs. Hull)

Gunners fans have gone off Flamini recently, and declared him not good enough to be their holding midfielder.

He needs a big performance to prove them wrong and to prevent Hull City destroying the North Londoners’ makeshift back-line.

2) Gareth Barry – Everton (vs. Aston Villa

The Toffees have disappointed this season, and find themselves in 17th.

Veteran Barry needs to lead from the front and get their season underway with a big performance against a spirited Aston Villa side.

1) Mario Balotelli – Liverpool (vs. QPR)

It may be too late for Balotelli, who was dropped for Rickie Lambert last week. If he is given a last chance he must grab it with both hands, as Daniel Sturridge is returning from injury this week too.

He will have plenty of opportunities against a weak QPR side.
