The Daily Mail claim that the north London side are considering moves for three German talents with Arsenal keen on Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke stars.
It will take a £37m bid to trigger 21 year old Draxler’s release clause but this appears to be less of an issue for Arsene Wenger now than it was when he previously targeted the impressive Bundesliga midfielder.
Indeed Draxler may well be seen as a like for like replacement for Ozil and having fully recovered from a lengthy ankle injury a move to sign the Schalke youngster, with newly installed Veltins-Arena boss Roberto di Matteo having his work cut out keeping hold of the playmaker.
£30m rated centre-back Mats Hummels is another on Arsenal’s wish-list with the centre-back pairing of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny not looking quite so solid this term.
Arsene Wenger saw Thomas Vermaelen leave for Barcelona over the summer so one could see why a good back-up option would be one the French boss would target a move to spend such a big sum on another centre-back is a little harder to fathom.
Hummels is however arguably one of the best defenders in world football and as such Wenger may feel a bid for the Borussia Dortmund man is in order.
Man United are reportedly lining up a £10m bid for Bernabeu battler Khedira and it may take a bid of a similar range for Arsenal to persuade Real Madrid to cash-in on the midfield terrier.
The 27 year old is out of contract next summer so Real Madrid president Florentino Perez may well look to cash-in on Khedira and Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the former Stuttgart man.
Khedira is arguably a better option to offer Arsenal some steel in the centre of the park than both veteran captain Mikel Arteta and uncompromising Frenchman Mathieu Flamini.
