Of course, he’s not the only La Liga player that’s been linked with a move to Premier League. Here are ten stars from Spain that we’d love to see in the Premier League sometime soon:
10) Dani Parejo (Valencia)
Valencia’s captain: 25-year-old midfielder formerly of Real Madrid, who has been scouted by Liverpool in the past.
9) Mateo Musacchio (Villareal)
Defender, 24, who has been capped by Argentina on two occasions. Came close to moving to Tottenham during the summer.
8) Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao)
Exciting 20-year-old defender who has been regularly watched by Arsenal. The Frenchman in an exceptional prospect.
7) Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid star, 21, who has been linked with Chelsea and Man United despite his importance to the Spanish giants.
6) Jordi Alba (Barcelona)
One of the best left backs in the world, surprisingly linked with Man United and Arsenal after falling out of favour.
5) Isco (Real Madrid)
An exceptional talent who is only a fringe player at Madrid. Man City and Liverpool could offer him an escape route.
4) Dani Alves (Barcelona)
Experienced full-back who has attracted interest from Man United, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea – with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
3) Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)
Anchorman midfielder who has ruled out a contract extension with Real Madrid. Being chased by Arsenal and Chelsea among others.
2) Arda Turan (Atletico Madrid)
Exceptional Turkish talent who has been linked with Liverpool and Man United. A deal looks unlikely however.
1) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
The 26 year-old is one of the best out and out centre forwards in world football, and would make a great addition for a Premier League giant.
