The Gunners are keen to strengthen in attack in the next transfer window, with Wenger keeping an eye on the situations of both Giovinco and Gignac as they near the end of their contracts with their current clubs.

Juve playmaker Giovinco has been linked with the club several times in the past, and looks a player who could fit in well into Arsenal’s system with his neat link-up play, while French striker Gignac is in fine form in front of goal at the moment, with 12 goals in just 9 games this term.

The 28-year-old could provide depth upfront as Arsenal rely solely on Danny Welbeck due to Olivier Giroud’s long-term injury, while Giovinco could provide competition for the under-performing Mesut Ozil, or even replace him after recent links suggesting that the German international could be a target for Bayern Munich.

Arsenal were active in the summer transfer window, signing five players, and it looks increasingly likely that they will continue to spend in the winter as these players come on to Wenger’s radar.
