(Video) Man United Striker Pays Tribute To Ex Liverpool Star Following Retirement

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has paid tribute to Dirk Kuyt following the former Liverpool star’s decision to retire from international football.

Kuyt called time on his Netherlands career on Friday morning.

Van Persie and Kuyt played alongside each other at five major tournaments.

The pair helped the Dutch finish second at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and third in Brazil four years later.

Van Persie used Instagram to upload the below slideshow of Kuyt in action for Oranje.

The Old Trafford frontman accompanied the pictures with the message: “Thank you my friend!! 104 caps and 24 goals for Holland. Legend of the game! @11dirkkuyt”.
