Roma’s manager Rudi Garcia has continued to stress the importance of Strootman to his team, but can’t be certain that he will be around for long.

Roma’s dynamic midfielder Kevin Strootman only arrived in Italy 12 months ago, but is already being heavily linked with moves to the Premier League. Strootman had an exceptional season for Roma last year, and interest in him has remained high despite the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered in March.
Strootman was a key player for Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands team, so Manchester United have been tipped as leading the chase for the Dutchman, although most of Europe’s top clubs will be keeping an eye on his recovery. Roma manager Rudi Garcia has reiterated Strootman’s importance to the team, but was unable to rule out a move for the player, Goal reported.
“Strootman for sale? You must speak about this with out president,” the Roma boss told reporters after the Italian team’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad.
“He is a midfielder of the highest level and we’re waiting for him to return.”
Roma performed admirably against City without Strootman and his midfield partner Daniele de Rossi. They will be hoping that with those two back, they will be able to beat City in Rome and qualify alongside group leaders Bayern.
