Could Ogbonna be the answer to Manchester United’s defensive woes?
According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United could be set to make a January bid for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.

1. Ogbonna is 26 and although he was born to Nigerian parents, he holds Italian citizenship.
2. The defender began his career at Torino and made 147 appearances for the Italian minnows.
3. Both Italy and Nigeria wanted him to play international football for them. The Azzurri were so desperate to have the defender in their side that they picked him when he was still playing in Serie B.
4. The 26 year old is naturally a centre back but can play at left back if needed.
5. Juventus signed Ogbonna in the summer of 2013 for £11.2 million and he made 20 appearances for the Serie A champions last season.
6. The defender maybe available to Manchester United for around £12 million however, Arsenal are also thought to be interested in him.
7. The former Torino defender survived a car accident in 2008 when he drove his smart car off a bridge!
8. Ogbonna was part of Italy’s squad for Euro 2012 but didn’t play a single match.
9. While the versatile defender is strong at the back, he also possesses a good range of passing and is skillful on the ball.
10. Ogbonna is very loyal. He stayed for several years at Torino despite their lowly status in Italian football and only left because of the clubs financial constraints.
