The Belgian needs to go…
Liverpool badly need a new goalkeeper. Belgian stopper Simon Mignolet was shaky last season, and he’s started this campaign in very poor form.
Rumours are rife that the Reds will replace him, and could do worse than targeting one of these five in January.

5) Victor Valdes – Unattached
The heavy favourite to sign, and the most logical potential new Liverpool keeper. Valdes is currently available on a free, but hasn’t signed yet because of an injury that is going to keep him out of action until December. Don’t be surprised if the Reds snap him up as soon as he proves his fitness.
4) Sergio Asenjo – Villarreal
Once rated above David de Gea when both were at Atletico Madrid, Asenjo’s career stalled, before rejuvenating himself at Villarreal. He performed excellently last term on loan, which convinced the Spaniards to sign him permanently. At 25, his best years are still very much ahead of him.
3) Asmir Begovic – Stoke City
The Bosnian has long been rated as one of the Premier League’s best, but he’s actually started the season poorly for the Potters. Ability wise though, Begovic is exceptional, and he deserves a chance at a Champions League club – which could push him to the next level.
2) Steve Mandanda – Marseille
A multiple cap French international, Mandanda doesn’t get much of a lookout for his country anymore because of Hugo Lloris, but he captains his club side. At 29-years-old, he’s in his peak, and is arguably underrated on a world level. The Reds should consider making him an offer.
1) Iker Casillas – Real Madrid
The legendary goalkeeper is no longer the first choice at Real Madrid, with new signing Keylor Navas favoured instead. Casillas has been poor for two seasons now, but his pedigree is totally undeniable, and a fresh start could be just what he needs to rejuvenate an already wonderful career.
