Is it too early to claim that Mesut Ozil has rediscovered his form?
Arsenal blew Aston Villa away this afternoon as goals from Mesut Ozil, Danny Welbeck and an own goal from Aly Cissokho in the space of three and a half minutes gave the Gunners a comfortable victory.

Ozil’s goal was his first in Arsenal colours away from the Emirates Stadium, while Welbeck was netting for the first time since his £16m deadline day move from Manchester United earlier this month.
The pair linked up well throughout the day, as you can see for the Gunners first goal, when Welbeck’s threaded ball into the path of Ozil was neatly tucked away by the German:
The combination worked again moments later as Ozil’s cross was turned in by Welbeck from close range:
Villa defender Aly Cissokho then turned a Kieran Gibbs shot into his own net and the Midlands side failed to recover:
Arsenal were fortunate to escape with only a 2-0 defeat from Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek, while they had drawn three Premier League games before the trip to Birmingham.
They ended that stutter in form with devastating spell of play in which two of their more criticised stars in Ozil and Welbeck did the damage as the Gunners made it 16 games at Villa Park without defeat.
Is this the start of a new devastating partnership between Ozil and Welbeck? Or will this happy moment against a Villa team struggling with illness be short lived?
