8) Raheem Sterling – Liverpool – £8.8m
The young Liverpool ace started the season in blistering form, looking to replace the goals his side had lost with the departure of Luis Suarez.
He is unlikely to maintain the same form throughout the year and could prove erratic in terms of points return, but his pace and trickery is a constant threat and he has been involved in everything good about Brendan Rodgers’ side so far.
Having already risen to £8.8m he may not be the best value for money, but he is certainly proving a popular choice for players this year.
