Former Manchester United defender Paul McGrath believes Daley Blind will solve the Red Devils problems in midfield, talkSport reports.

Blind moved to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day in a £15 million move from Ajax and made his debut in United’s 4-0 thrashing of QPR yesterday.
Angel Di Maria, another new United signing, won the man of the match award for his performance but McGrath believes the Dutch midfielder deserved to get some plaudits as well.
“Blind is a class act,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show.
“I was watching him in particular against Queens Park Rangers.
“The defensive stuff he does is what United have been looking for.
“He was running around making defensive tackles, as well as connecting it to the front.”
United have struggled to find quality defensive midfielders in recent years. It was hoped that Owen Hargreaves would be the holding midfielder the club were looking for but his career was ruined by injury and United have never been able to sign a replacement.
Louis van Gaal will hope that Blind will continue to be the man that will do all the defensive work in the midfield while the likes of Juan Mata and Angel Di Maria can focus on being an attacking threat.
