GK) Wojciech Szczesny

Despite not keeping a clean sheet in the Premier League so far this season, Wojciech Szczesny should continue as Arsene Wenger’s number one in goal for this game.

DR) Hector Bellerin

The young Spaniard is expected to get the nod because of Mathieu Debuchy’s injury and  Calum Chambers tonsillitis.

DL) Kieran Gibbs

Gibbs should just about be fit enough to return, while Nacho Monreal has been ruled out through injury and hasn’t travelled.

Arsenal transfers

DC) Per Mertesacker

Although Arsenal have looked shakey at the back so far this season, there doesn’t appear to be much alternative to Per Mertesacker in central defence.

DC) Laurent Koscielny

Likewise, Laurent Koscielny will continue as Mertesacker’s central defensive partner, with Arsenal looking like having nothing in the way of backup in that position at the moment.

MC) Mikel Arteta

After making the bench against Manchester City, club captain Mikel Arteta should return to the starting lineup for Dortmund, with Mathieu Flamini failing to convince in his absence.

MC) Jack Wilshere

After a superb game at the weekend, Jack Wilshere is surely a certain starter for Arsenal in this tricky away game, lining up in a deep role but with freedom to bomb forward.

AMR) Alexis Sanchez

After a good game and a cracking goal against City on Saturday, Alexis Sanchez should take up a role on the right-hand side of Arsenal’s attack here, and will be one to watch.

AML) Santi Cazorla

Would Arsene Wenger dare drop Mesut Ozil? Well on the basis of his recent form, he certainly doesn’t deserve a starting place for such a difficult game, and Santi Cazorla could prove a better option on the left-hand side after a rest at the weekend.

AMC) Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal’s in-form attacking midfielder, Aaron Ramsey should take up his usual role behind the main striker here, and will be hoping to repeat his goalscoring heroics on this ground from last season.

FC) Danny Welbeck

After a good debut at home to City, Danny Welbeck will surely be first choice to start upfront for Arsenal again here, and will be looking to get off the mark for his new club.
