Gaalaticos: A Possible Man United XI With World-Class Players In Every Position Including German Rock & Barcelona Star

An Old Trafford side that could challenge for the Premier League title.

£150m spent on new additions but apparently Louis van Gaal is not done with spending on his squad just yet and here is an XI of truly world-class talents Man United could find themselves with if they invest wisely in the January transfer window.

Man United may have thumped QPR but there is a danger of reading too much into that result, after all Harry Redknapp’s side are likely to be fighting relegation this term, and there are one or two areas that van Gaal could improve.

Defensively there are obvious holes and our World-Class XI includes new additions and a tactical re-think that sees one star dropped to accommodate an astonishing side that would challenge for the Premier League title.

David de Gea

The Spaniard may have been shaky when he first arrived at Old Trafford but is now one of the best in the business.

Luke Shaw

Some may balk at the idea of the England man being ‘world-class’ but having paid £27m for the 18 year old it’s clear Man United believe so.

Mats Hummels

Borussia Dortmund man is a known van Gaal target and would be the ideal man to fill the void left by Nemanja Vidic.

Marcos Rojo

Though the Argentine played at left-back against QPR we are using him in a central defensive role that the Argentine is more than adept at filling.

Dani Alves

By no means a long term signing but we see the Brazilian, who is out of contract at Barcelona next summer, as the ideal world-class play to fill the right-sided role.

Daley Blind

The Dutchman put in a near flawless display at the base of a midfield diamond against QPR and will fill the role in our XI.

Ander Herrera

Moved around a fair bit and will sit in a wide role in our midfield diamond, the cultured Spaniard able to make a real impact in the final third with his excellent distribution.

Angel Di Maria

The superb winger will be played out wide in our XI but will have the freedom to roam on either flank and no doubt provide assists with alarming regularity.

Wayne Rooney

We make a tactical change to that which Louis van Gaal opted for against QPR. We believe Rooney can sit at the tip of the midfield diamond in preference to Juan Mata leaving us able to field a simply mouthwatering strike pairing.

Robin Van Persie

Dutchman may have hit a slightly bad patch of form, by his own very high standards, but lets face it the Dutchman will still rack up 25 goals this season.

Radamel Falcao

We opt to use the Colombian goal machine alongside Falcao, with the two players being of sufficiently differing styles to accommodate both.
