4) Danny Welbeck is not good enough
Danny Welbeck’s transfer has been one that has largely split opinion, and many believed long before the game against City that if he wasn’t good enough for Manchester United then he wasn’t good enough for Arsenal. But to state that the 23-year-old isn’t good enough essentially based on one miss is extremely unfair. Welbeck was very unlucky to hit the post after deftly chipping Joe Hart, and he performed admirably throughout the game. Whether he will succeed at Arsenal remains to be seen, but to judge him on one game is not right.
