Legendary Argentina forward Diego Maradona has met Pope Francis this afternoon, presenting the cardinal with an Argentina shirt ahead of a charity match in Rome.
Pope Francis is known to be a big football fan and supports San Lorenzo, the Argentinian club who won their maiden Copa Libertadores title with a victory against Paraguyan side Nacional last month.
