Sebastian Coates heading to Wearside.

Liverpool may be unlikely to add to their squad on transfer deadline day after getting the bulk of their business done nice and early, but there are still expected to be departures from Anfield, with centre back Sebastian Coates set to join Sunderland on a season-long loan dea, according to reports from the Mail.
Coates has fallen completely out of favour at Anfield and finds himself as fifth choice central defender after Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure, with the departure of Daniel Agger to former club Brondby not really having brought Coates any closer to the first team.
The Uruguayan international arrived at the club as an exciting potential star of the future, but his technical ability on the ball was never really matched by the solidity of his defensive displays during his time at Anfield and he quickly fell out of favour with Brendan Rodgers.
It now seems that his time at Anfield is coming to an end, temporarily at least, with a loan move to Sunderland on the cards as Gus Poyet looks to arrest his side’s disappointing start to the 2014/15 Premier League season, which continued when they were beaten by a Charlie Austin goal at Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
