10) Adrien Rabiot (Paris Saint-Germain to Arsenal)
Linked strongly with a £9m move away from Paris Saint-Germain, French youngster Adrien Rabiot looks Arsenal-bound after rejecting the offer of a new contract from the Ligue 1 champions. The highly-rated 19-year-old has struggled for regular first-team football at the Parc des Princes due to the vast array of world class players currently ahead of him in the pecking order, and a move to the Emirates Stadium could greatly benefit both him and the Gunners, who have been forced to consider an alternative to Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira in midfield.
9) Petr Cech (Chelsea to AS Monaco)
Having fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Chelsea, the long-serving goalkeeping great Petr Cech looks set to end his time at Stamford Bridge and make the move to Ligue 1 big-spenders AS Monaco, possibly on loan. It is little surprise to see the Czech Republic international unhappy at being dropped to the bench, and this move looks likely to be completed before the transfer window slams shut.
8) Lukas Podolski (Arsenal to Juventus)
Despite an impressive couple of seasons with Arsenal, German World Cup winner Lukas Podolski looks set to be sold by the club after falling out of favour with manager Arsene Wenger. Juventus are leading the chase for his signature, and look likely to complete a deal for the Emirates Stadium fans’ favourite before the end of the week, with an initial loan with a view to a permanent move being the most probable outcome.
7) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco to Juventus)
With Liverpool moving to sign Mario Balotelli from AC Milan, it looks as though Juventus will win the chase to sign AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao on loan. The Colombian international, who first established himself as one of the best strikers in the world at Atletico Madrid, is unhappy in France and likely to move in the next few days, with Juve leading the chase against the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid for his signature.
6) Fernando Torres (Chelsea to AC Milan)
With AC Milan likely to be in need of a new striker this summer, it looks as though they will attempt to finally end Fernando Torres’ dismal time at Chelsea since his £50m move form Liverpool in 2011. The Spaniard was left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad entirely for the clash against Leicester City, and his time at Stamford Bridge truly looks up with new signings Diego Costa and Didier Drogba now ahead of him in the pecking order.
5) Mattia Destro (AS Roma to Chelsea)
According to recent speculation, AS Roma striker Mattia Destro could be the man entrusted to replace Torres at Chelsea if he does make the move to Serie A. The prolific Italian international was in fine form for Rudi Garcia’s side last season, scoring 13 goals in just 20 games to show himself to be one of the most reliable goal-getters in Serie A. Destro would be a fine addition to the Blues’ current attacking options, and Stamford Bridge looks his likeliest destination despite earlier interest from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
4) Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina to Barcelona)
With Barcelona failing in their attempts to sign wingers such as Angel Di Maria and Marco Reus, new manager Luis Enrique looks set to step up his interest in long-time target Juan Cuadrado before the end of the week. The Fiorentina star was in superb form in Serie A last season and for Colombia at the World Cup this summer, and his ability to play on the right-hand side of a 3-5-2 formation should make him the ideal signing for Enrique’s new-look side.
3) Mario Balotelli (AC Milan to Liverpool)
A deal that is all but done according to recent reports, and one that will surely go down as one of the most exciting moves of the summer. Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli for a bargain £16m, with Brendan Rodgers choosing the controversial Italian international as the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez, who joined Barcelona for £75m earlier this summer.
2) Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid to Manchester United)
In what is expected to be a record transfer fee paid by a British club, Angel Di Maria’s move from Real Madrid to Manchester United for around £62m is expected to be announced imminently after the Argentine bid farewell to his old team-mates at the Bernabeu. Exactly the kind of attacking midfielder that this average United side need, there will be big pressure on the 26-year-old to impress for United as they seek desperately to get back into the top four and challenge for trophies.
1) Arturo Vidal (Juventus to Manchester United)
In what could be another huge signing for Manchester United, Arturo Vidal may be the next to come in as the Red Devils continue to negotiate a deal with Juventus. Some progress may have been made with a recent cash-plus-player bid for the superb Chilean international, who has all the qualities needed to add some bite, creativity and goals from midfield for United.
