Emirates Stadium side look to tempt Bundesliga side into selling.
Arsenal are readying a move for midfielder Luiz Gustavo with Arsene Wenger set to offer forward Lukas Podolski as bait for the Wolfsburg star according to TuttoMercato.
Wenger is on the look out for a tough tackler to help offer some protection to his more creative talents whilst keeping opposition advances from forcing their way through Arsenal’s midfield and 27 year old Gustavo may be an ideal man for the job.

The former Bayern Munich man impressed during his debut season at the Volkswagen Arena but his side failed to secure a Champions League berth and as such Gustavo may be tempted by a move to north London.
The offer of German international Podolski in any deal to snap up Gustavo is a wise one to consider and Wolfsburg may be tempted by such a move, especially if the Brazilian signals his intention to leave the club.
Gustavo has spent the last seven seasons in the Bundesliga and may feel the time is right for a fresh challenge.
Wenger currently uses veteran captain Mikel Arteta as his most defensively minded midfield option, the Spaniard currently being out with an ankle injury, and Gustavo could be a better fit for the role.
Luis Gustavo was a key part of Brazil’s 2014 World Cup squad, starting six of their seven games this summer.
