8) Bojan Krkic (Stoke City)
A wildcard signing from Barcelona, Bojan Krkic’s £3m transfer to Stoke City could go either way after his up-and-down career so far, but there’s no doubt that at that price he represents a low-risk transfer with plenty of potential. Once regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in world football, the Spaniard is still only 23 years old and has plenty of time to improve on a disappointing few years. If Stoke can get the best out of Bojan, that £3m will seem a real bargain and great piece of business from the club.
