Young Red Devils stopper looks set to join Verona.
Manchester United goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is on the verge of signing for Hellas Verona, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 19-year has been on United’s books since 2012 and has represented the Red Devils at Under-18 and Under-21 level.
However, he has not featured for the club’s senior team and it does not look like he ever will, as he apparently completed a medical in Verona this morning.
Verona finished a respectable 10th in Serie A last season, although only Sassuolo and bottom side Livorno conceded more goals in Italy’s top division.
Brazilian stopper Rafael conceded 63 goals in 37 starts, while Italian Nicolas Andrade was between the sticks for the final game of the season – a 5-1 defeat at Napoli.
Gollini, who has captained Italy’s Under-19 side, will be hopeful of challenging for a starting place at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
