Alexander Buttner arrived at Manchester United full of promise when he joined from Vitesse Arnhem in August 2012.
The attacking left-back, 25, scored on his Red Devils debut – in a 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic.
However, his Old Trafford career never really took off. In two years in England, he has started just nine Premier League games.
With Patrice Evra having signed a new contract and with Southampton’s Luke Shaw being continually linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams, Buttner appears to be surplus to requirements.
He is widely expected to join Dinamo Moscow later this month.
Buttner and his brother were in Moscow yesterday and the latter uploaded a couple of images of their trip to Instagram.
