The players at the tournament in Brazil that could be strutting their stuff at Old Trafford next season.
Newly appointed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is getting a first hand view of the 2014 World Cup as the Dutchman is in charge of the Netherlands national team.
It means that the 62-year-old is in a great position to scout potential new signings for the Red Devils after their extremely disappointing 2013/14 campaign.
Here are five World Cup stars van Gaal and United have their eye on.
Daley Blind
It makes sense that the new boss would look to what he knows first and this versatile Dutch ace could be the answer to many problems at Old Trafford currently.
Blind played as a defensive midfielder for Ajax last season to great success, but for the national team operates as a left wing-back and can also play as a full-back.

Edinson Cavani
Once again reports have emerged that the Red Devils are chasing this unsettled Paris Saint-Germain striker, despite having a plethora of talent upfront already.
Cavani does not want to play second fiddle to Robin van Persie however and van Gaal would have to manage a number of egos if the Uruguay international arrived at the Theatre of Dreams.

Sami Khedira
Many critics said United lacked any resilience in central midfield last term and as result they may return to Real Madrid once again to try and sign this 27-year-old.
The 13-time Premier League winners made an offer for Khedira last summer, but 12 months on and with the Germany international about to enter the final year of his current contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, a move is much more likely.

Eliaquim Mangala
With Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic both leaving the club this summer, recruitment in central defence is a priority for van Gaal.
The FC Porto centre-back is thought to be keen on a move to England and his ability to also play at left-back makes the France international an extremely attractive option.

Bruno Martins Indi
Another central defender now and another Dutchman, with Martins Indi having played an important part in the success of his national side so far at the World Cup – until an injury against Australia on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old impressed with Feyenoord last campaign as the Eredivisie side returned to form and van Gaal is a big admirer of the defensive ace.
