The Toffees are already looking to beat Arsenal to the signature of veteran midfielder Gareth Barry after he spent a successful year on loan at Goodison last year, but reports are now suggesting that the club have already made an enquiry for the talented 21-year-old Sociedad star.
Manager Roberto Martinez is a big fan of the midfield maestro and has had him watched various times over the course of the campaign and is said to be interested in putting together a £6m offer to bring him to England.
Pardo played 44 games for the La Liga side last season and penned a new four-year deal only a few weeks ago.
That hasn’t put Martinez off, though, and he will look to put together a concrete offer over the coming week.
Martinez also wants to bring Gareth Barry back to the club on a permanent basis, but faces competition from both Arsenal and QPR, who are also keen on the 33-year-old now that he is available on a free transfer.
