Toffees eye-up cut price deal for attacking midfielder.
Check in to Spain vs Netherlands
Everton are preparing to make a bid for one of the most exciting young talents in Holland, Heerenveen midfielder Hakim Ziyech, who is also wanted by Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 21-year-old only broke into the Heerenveen first team in 2012, but has earned rave reviews in his home country and only narrowly missed out on selection for the Dutch World Cup squad.
He scored 11 goals and bagged nine assists in 31 games for his team last season, across all competitions. These performances have seen him regarded as a dangerous and creative attacking midfielder.
Crucially for Everton, he is also available at a very reasonable price, thought to be in the region of £2.5 million. Ziyach has just one year left on his contract with the Eredivisie club and they are likely to want to cash in whilst they can.
Dutch giants Ajax and PSV are also circling around the talented youngster, but Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is preparing to place an offer as quickly as possible and secure a deal.
It is set to be a very busy summer for Martinez in the transfer market as he looks to continue the fine work that his side produced last season in finishing fifth in the Premier League. He also relied heavily on loan players last season, such as Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry, who must be replaced.
