Paris Saint-Germain are now prioritising a move for Real Sociedad star Antoine Griezmann after losing hope of signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea, according to the Daily Star.
The French champions are known to be in the market for new top-class additions in the wide areas this summer, with some doubt over the futures of the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Jeremy Menez at the club, and Hazard was believed to be their main target.
Recent reports suggest that PSG were willing to offer as much as £68m for the Belgian attacker, who enjoyed a superb season for the Blues this year, but they have found the Premier League giants unwilling to sell their star player.
Griezmann has also been in terrific form, scoring 20 goals in all competitions this season – his best-ever tally for the Basque club – and he will now be hoping to replicate this form for France at this summer’s World Cup.
The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are also mentioned as potential suitors for the talented 23-year-old, though PSG’s considerable financial power may now make them the favourites to land him ahead of the competition before next season.
It is thought that PSG want a deal for Griezmann done before the start of the World Cup, which will commence next Thursday.
