The Belgium Under-21 international has just enjoyed an excellent campaign in front of goal for his side, so much so that a number of Premier League clubs are understood to now be preparing offers for Batshuayi this summer.
Batshuayi, 20, managed to record an impressive 23 goals and eight assists in total in his 49 matches in all competitions for Standard in the previous campaign, including 18 strikes and three assists in his 29 Belgium top-flight contests.
And with the player having a reported £8m buyout clause in his current deal at Standard that runs until June 2018, it is now expected that the north London club’s chairman Daniel Levy will make a move for Batshuayi.
However, Tottenham are said to not be the only Premier League team interested in landing Batshuayi, with the likes of arch-rivals Arsenal, as well as both Everton and Swansea City all hoping to capture the striker for the new campaign.
