Anfield side want Lyon attacker.
Liverpool are set to enter the race to sign highly rated Lyon attacker Clement Grenier according to Football Direct News.
The 23 year old has enjoyed two solid campaigns at the Stade Gerland resulting in the securing of a spot in Didier Deschamps’ 2014 World Cup squad and could well be sold by Lyon as they look to balance the books after missing out on a Champions League berth.
The versatile youngster can play in a variety of positions from the right side of the midfield to a central role as well as supporting the attack and is a player who could offer Brendan Rodgers some much needed strength in depth.
Having helped Liverpool to mount a genuine Premier League title push and secured a return to the Champions League Rodgers will be keen on bringing in in top talents to help his side kick-on in 2014/15 and a move Grenier could well be a sensible, and not hugely expensive, move to consider.
Grenier has represented Lyon since the age of 11 and may feel that the time is right for a fresh challenge and a move to the Premier League could prove very tempting indeed.
