Hamburg starlet has put Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen on high alert after admitting that he dreams of playing Champions League football next season, according to Inside Futbol.

The Turkey international midfielder was an instrumental figure in helping Hamburg evade relegation this season, seeing off Geuther Furth in the relegation playoff.
Bayer Leverkusen, who can offer Calhanoglu Champions League football, are chasing his services, with a bid of €12m on the horizon for Hamburg to ponder.
However, he is also said to be the subject of some significant interest from the Premier League, as Liverpool have sent scouts to check up on him numerous times over the course of the season.
And the Reds, who can also offer him Champions League football, will be boosted by his recent announcement that that is his top requirement for a new club this summer.
“Every footballer has the goal of playing in the Champions League. That’s my wish. I hope that the club responds accordingly”, Calhanoglu explained to the Hamburger Morgenpost.
However, Hamburg are not cutting the figure of a club that wants to play ball over a departure, with sporting director Oliver Kreuzer remarking: “He will definitely stay at HSV.”
