The Merseyside giants have already seen their giant Belgium international return to his parent club in west London following the end of Lukaku’s season-long loan spell with the Toffees.
And now head coach Roberto Martinez is understood to have already begun the process of finding a suitable replacement for Lukaku next season, with the Spaniard’s first-choice target understood to be the experienced Ya Konan as Everton prepare to have to compete on two fronts in the new campaign after their fifth-place finish in the Premier League saw the club qualify for the Uefa Europa League.
The Ivory Coast international, who will be competing at this summer’s World Cup with his country, managed to register four goals and one assist in total in his 17 matches in all competitions for Hannover last time out, including three strikes and one assist in his 15 Bundesliga outings for the club.
And the 29-year-old will be available on a free transfer this summer.
