The 24-year-old revealed that the Premier League champions have been scouting him following a run of impressive performances for the Russian giants since joining from Kuban Krasnodar last summer for a fee just above £8 million.
The Turkish born star has made 24 appearances for the Russian giants this season, bagging six goals in the process – including two in his first two games – and he admitted after Friday’s 1-0 victory over Kryliya Sovetov, though he confessed that the way he played during that game could be enough to put them off.
“I know they (Man United) came to see me playing,” he told Voetbal Primeur.
“But I don’t think they are interested after this match. I played my worst game for the last few years.”
Ozbiliz has earned 15 caps so far for Armenia since making his debut in 2012, and he is a product of the Ajax youth academy, making 26 appearances for the Eredivise side before moving to Russia with Kuban to further his career in 2012.
