Reds to send scouting team to see midfielder take on AZ.
Liverpool are preparing to up their chase of Benfica midfielder Lazar Markovic by sending a scouting team to see him take on AZ Alkmaar in Thursday night’s Europa League clash, according to the Metro.

The Merseyside club have been keeping a close watch on the 20-year-old closely this season and will ramp up their interest in the Serb by sending a team of scouts to watch him in action against the Dutch giants.
Markovic, who has previously been linked with Chelsea, is highly sought after across Europe and looks set to leave Portugal when the transfer window opens.
Markovic has scored seven goals for club and country already this season, helping Benfica to a seven point lead over cross-city rivals Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese Premier League.
The Portuguese giants go into the Europa League clash with a 1-0 advantage against the Eredivise side and Markovic is expected to be named in the starting line up.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been looking to add some significant additions to his side this summer as the club will most likely be involved in next season’s Champions League as they still seek to end their 24 year wait for a league title.
