Liverpool have become the latest club to throw their hat into the ring for highly-rated Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho, according to Football Direct News.

The 22-year-old was a key part of the squad that helped the side win promotion to Serie A last season and has continued to catch the eye with a series of captivating performances again this time around.
Brendan Rogers was among those who made tentative contact over the player’s availability but had failed to follow up on his earlier interest – until now.
Starting the season with the northern club, he made his way to Napoli during the January transfer window after they came to a co-ownership agreement, and he has since gone on to make 11 appearances for Rafa Benitez’s men.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos held discussions with Arsenal while he was in London this month but no deal was reached leaving the door open to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to make his move.
However, Spurs are aware that any prospective deal will have to be put together quickly if they are to stand any chance of landing him as Liverpool’s renewed interest looks as though it could prevail because they will be in a better position to offer a more attractive package.
