Goodison Park star leads Emirates Stadium shopping list.
Arsenal have set their sights on Everton right-back Seamus Coleman as their number one choice to replace exit bound veteran Bacary Sagna according to Football Direct News.
Arsene Wenger is beginning to give up hope of persuading 31 year old Sagna to put pen to paper on a new contract and is now looking at the best alternatives and having also taken an interest in Real Madrid’s Daniel Carvajal the North London club are keen on luring Republic of Ireland man Coleman to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 25 year old is in the best form of his career and could be tempted by a move to a side that can offer him Champions League football though Arsenal will of course have to make sure they beat the Toffees in a race to secure a spot in the competition.
Coleman cost the Toffees just £60k back in 2009 but the Goodison Park side are bound to demand in excess of £15m for his services though Roberto Martinez will fight tooth and nail to prevent his exit.
Everton managed to hold firm in their intention to keep hold of left-back Leighton Baines though did lose Marouane Fellaini when Man United came calling last summer.
