The fleet footed Brazilian was a key part of the side that helped Hellas win promotion to Serie A last term, and he has continued to impress this time around, catching the eye of a number of top clubs across Europe’s major divisions.
Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rogers were among those who made tentative contact over the player’s availability.
He had spent the first half of the season with Verona, but as part of a co-ownership agreement with Napoli he transferred to the San Paolo in January where he has gone on to make 11 appearances under Rafa Benitez.
However, the player’s agent, Joao Santos, is believed to have already held talks with Arsenal representatives last month ahead of a possible move to the Premier League this summer, though no official statement has been released yet.
Santos will meet with Napoli officials next month to decide the player’s future, with Chelsea and Liverpool likely to enter the race in the summer.
