Emirates Stadium side chase in-form wide-man.
Check in to Arsenal vs Manchester City
Arsenal are ready to launch another Bundesliga swoop with Arsene Wenger said to be tracking talented youngster Kevin Volland according to Fichajes.
The 21 year old Hoffenheim forward, who is most ably used out on the wing, is enjoying something of a breakthrough season this term. The former 1860 Munich man has netted nine goals in Bundesliga action alone and is on the fringes of the German national team set-up having impressed at Under 21 level.
Given the injury concerns over Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski’s inability to string consistent displays together there is perhaps scope for a wide attacking signing and clearly a move for Volland would adhere to Wenger’s youthful transfer policy.
Wenger has staged a number of Bundesliga raids in recent seasons, bringing in the likes of Lukas Podolski, Serge Gnabry and Per Mertesacker and the Gunners boss may feel that Volland possesses the potential to make it in the English top tier.
