Old Trafford side target Freiburg youngster.
Check in to West Ham United vs Manchester United
Man United will look to land Freiburg youngster Matthias Ginter as David Moyes targets possible replacements for exit bound Serbian Nemanja Vidic.
talkSPORT believes that Old Trafford side are ready to make a move for the £10m German international, though they will have to battle a number of other prospective suitors.
The 20 year old defender played his part as Freiburg sealed a fifth place finish in the Bundesliga last term and has been an ever present this season but his side’s struggles at the wrong end of the table could well lead to a summer exit.
Ginter’s ability to play in a defensive midfield role as well as centre-back may well be a crucial motivating factor if Man United are to bid for the powerful defender.
Moyes will have to re-shuffle his entire back-line given that both Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra are both set to see their contracts expire in the summer and this will give the Scot the chance to re-invigorate his defence with youthful additions he can build a side around.
