The 16-year-old is the brother of Terence Kongolo, who has just broken into the Feyenoord first team at the age of 20, and City have pounced to bring him on board.
There had been some significant interest in the midfielder, who has been hailed as the new Patrick Vieira, with the likes of Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain, Marseille and Juventus all credited with an interest in securing his future.
However, the news will come as another bitter blow to the Dutch giants as they have lost yet another hot prospect to a Premier League side.
Rodney Kongolo just recently 16 and put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract with Manchester City, and he now follows in the footsteps of the likes of Nathan Ake, Karim Rekik and Kyle Ebecilio who have left Feyenoord for sides in England.
The site also reports that Rodney’s salary at City is instantly bigger than what his brother earns in Rotterdam, but Feyenoord will be hoping to ward off any future interest in Terence’s signature.
