No-one rushes the ice-cool striker.
AZ Alkmaar striker Aron Jóhannsson scored this lovely goal in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Heracles in the Eredivisie.
The USA international striker had already scored once when he collected a low cross with his back to goal, with Heracles’ ‘keeper out of position. Rather than panic, the 24-year-old cooly turned between two defenders and sold the ‘keeper a brilliant dummy before slotting into an empty net.
The former Iceland under-21 international, who chose to represent the country of his birth at senior level, could make an impact at this summer’s World Cup if he can show similar composure in Brazil.
