Rumours that Brazilian superstar Hulk is set to join Chelsea have started circling the internet, after the forward uploaded an image of himself flying to London for ‘work’.
The 27-year-old, who starts for the Brazilian national side, is expected to star on the left of a front three for the home nation at this summer’s World Cup. Although there are no confirmed reports of the player jetting to England to speak with the Blues, it’s well known that Jose Mourinho wants to sign a striker, and Chelsea are one of the only clubs capable of affording a player of Hulk’s stature in world football.
Further fuelling the rumour is the fact than Zenit St. Petersburg coach Luciano Spaletti was sacked just two days ago, and it seems odd for Hulk to use the phrase ‘work’, when his club side’s next fixture takes place in Moscow in four days time!
This term, the immensely powerful attacker has notched 12 goals in 21 starts, including three in the Champions League.
If he were to arrive at Stamford Bridge, he would join a talented group of Brazilians already at the club, including Willian, Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires.
