Interest in the defender has grown rapidly thanks to his fine performances while on loan with Serie A strugglers Livorno earlier in the season and Inter have reportedly already knocked back interest from the likes of Juventus and Lazio.
The Milanese side managed to fend off their compatriots interest during the January transfer window, but United and Liverpool are now said to have joined the ever growing list of clubs taking a closer look at the 19-year-old.
Mbaye is of good pedigree having been a part of the Inter squad that won the NextGen Series in 2012, and though he has yet to make an appearance for the Nerrazzuri first team they were quick to offer him a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.
But despite that deal, his relationship with the club is believed to be fractious as Lazio wanted him as part of the deal that took Hernanes the other way, and Mbaye was upset that they considered letting him go.
