Reports from Germany claim that the United manager, who has a free weekend as his side do not have a Premier League game to contend with, was in Germany on Friday night to watch the 20-year-old in action against Hertha Berlin.
And it appears that both Moyes and Germany coach Joachim Loew have paid attention at the same time as Ginter’s form has propelled him into the senior men’s national team.
With Freiburg struggling for form this season Ginter looks ready to move on this summer, with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich both interested alongside Arsenal.
However, Moyes will be hoping that he can land the 6″2 defender on a cut price £7.2m deal as he prepares himself to move onto a bigger club.
But he may have his work cut out for him as his competitors for the player’s signature will all be able to offer Champions League football next term, whilst United may struggle to offer a spot in the Europa League.
