The Venezuelan international had been on Arsene Wenger’s radar last summer but a concrete move failed to materialise, and he is now set to leave current club FC Twente after contract negotiations between the two broke down, meaning he will now be free to leave the club for free at the end of the season.
However, Arsenal’s continued inactivity could cost them dearly as reports in Italy now claim that Inter are the frontrunners to land his signature.
Rosales has also been linked with a move to Belgian side Anderlecht, but news in both Dutch and Italian media claim that a move to the San Siro is gathering pace.
Rosales so far has made 41 appearances for his country and become a key part of Twente’s recent successes. He also became the first Venezuelan national to score in the Champions League when he netter past against Tottenham Hotspur in December 2010.
