Gourcuff has been consistently linked with a move to the Gunners, especially after boss Arsene Wenger admitted that he is an admirer of the player yet the 27-year-old has opted to stay with his current side despite continuous links tipping him for a move away.
Arsenal had once again been interested in landing his signature, however, their luck appears to be out this month and Gourcuff is expected to complete the entire term with Les Gones.
And his agent, Didier Poulmaire, has virtually confirmed this by claiming that two offers to leave were knocked back by the player earlier on in the window.
“He has had two offers in this winter transfer window, but has decided to stay,” he said.
“For the future we’ll look to the sporting project first of all, that’s an essential thing for Yoann.”
Gourcuff has featured 13 times for Lyon this season, netting himself three goals and five assists in the process. His current contract with the club runs until 2015, meaning he will have to make a decision regarding his future soon.
