The 17-year-old has been tipped as a future star and is thought to be one of the brightest talents in the lower leagues after making himself at home in Karl Robinson’s starting XI this season.
Liverpool had made their interest known after watching him several times this season, but they now face some stiff competition from the north London outfit for his signature.
Wenger was handed a report after one of his scouts had him trailed during his side’s FA Cup replay with Wigan Athletic earlier this week and is now keen to pursue a deal for the 17-year-old after he drew comparisons to Patrick Vieira because of his playing style and his size.
At 6″2 he is already well accustomed to the physical aspect of the game and has had no problems with adapting to life in League One, which is known for being tough and unforgiving.
However, MK Dons are well aware what kind of talent they have on their hands and have insisted it will take at least £5m to get them to consider selling.
