Reds target Spurs star Sigurdsson.
Liverpool are interested in a £10m move for Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, CaughtOffside understands.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers remains a fan of the Iceland international, who he managed at both Reading and Swansea City.
The Northern Irishman tried to sign the 24-year-old for Liverpool in summer 2012 but Spurs hijacked the deal at the eleventh hour.

Sigurdsson has struggled to hold down a regular first team place under both Andre Villas-Boas and new Spurs head-coach Tim Sherwood and is understood to be interested in the prospect of joining Liverpool.
Rodgers believes his side are still too reliant on Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge for goals and remains interested in signing a goal-scoring attacking midfielder, after missing out on both Willian and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer.
It is understood Liverpool’s pursuit of Mohamed Salah will not affect their interest in Sigurdsson.
Sherwood is set to recall Tom Carroll from his loan spell at QPR and will give Lewis Holtby another six months to prove his worth, leaving the door open for Sigurdsson’s departure.
The head-coach will have ultimate say on transfer business at White Hart Lane this January but the club’s technical director Franco Baldini believes selling Sigurdsson and bringing in a new striker would benefit the squad.
