The 30 Highest Paid Managers In World Football

Find out who is paid the most to manage your teams.

New information has surfaced this week that has revealed who the top 30 best paid managers in world football are, and there are some surprising entries on the list.

30. Vicente Del Bosque – Spain

Salary: €2.35m

Considering he’s won the World Cup he’s surprisingly low paid.

29. Walter Mazzarri – Inter Milan

Salary: €2.4m

The former Napoli boss landed himself a pay bump over the summer as he left the San Paolo outfit to mastermind Inter’s return to the top of the tree.

28. Joachim Loew – Germany

Salary: €2.5m

The German national team boss will be looking to justify his salary at this summer’s World Cup.

27. Harry Redknapp – Queens Park Rangers

Salary: €2.5m

An expensive salary for a manager not in the top flight, however, Rangers are well on course to make a return to the Premier League this season.

26. Diego Simeone – Atletico Madrid

Salary: €2.5m

The Argentine could be in line for a rise soon enough should his side manage to keep up the pace with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table come May.

25. Mircea Lucescu – Shakhtar Donetsk

Salary: €2.56m

Gas-rich Shakhtar are looking for European glory these days, and don’t mind paying to make sure their coach is motivated to get it for them.

24. Ottmar Hitzfeld – Switzerland

Salary: €2.6m

Hitzfeld has been in charge of the Swiss national side since 2008, and whatever he’s doing must be working as they found themselves as one of the seeded sides for the World Cup draw earlier this month.

23. Philippe Scolari – Brazil

Salary: €2.758m

Scolari has been able to command a large fee wherever he’s gone. Could be another in line for a pay rise should things go according to plan in the summer.

22. Massimiliano Allegri – AC Milan

Salary: €2.8m

Allegri is currently under fire at Milan, and may want to consider a different approach should he want to continue to receive such a vast sum.

21. Cesare Prandelli – Italy

Salary: €3m

Prandelli is set to step down after the World Cup next summer, and he will be hoping to earn a similar salary at club level.

20. Antonio Conte – Juventus

Salary: €3m

Not a bad sum for a title winner.

19. Laurent Blanc – Paris Saint Germain

Salary: €3m

The former national team boss is at one of the richest clubs in the world, so it is no surprise that he is being so well paid.

18. Claudio Ranieri – Monaco

Salary: €3m

The tinkerman has managed to tinker himself a good living in the French Riviera. Some people get all the luck!

17. Luciano Spalletti – Zenit St Petersburg

Salary: €3.3m

The Zenit coach has recently been linked with the vacant role at Spurs, would he earn as much there?

16. Rafa Benitez – Napoli

Salary: €3.5m

The Spaniard landed a plum job in Italy as his reward for a tough but successful year at Chelsea.

15. Roberto Mancini – Manchester City

Salary: €3.5m

The Italian coach was lucky enough to land himself another well paying job after being let go by City.

14. Roy Hodgson – England

Salary: €3.540

That figure seems a high price to pay for what will surely amount to a distinct lack of success.

13. Roy Hodgson – West Ham United

Salary: €3.540

The most surprising entry on the list. Odd considering who he outranks.

12. Brendan Rodgers – Liverpool

Salary: €3.894m

The Reds boss is certainly earning his keep at the moment as he heads the ongoing change at Anfield.

11. Jorge Jesus – Benfica

Salary: €4m

Jesus will be hoping to see the job through this term and not see his side fall agonisingly short at the final hurdle like they did last season.

10. Manuel Pellegrini – Manchester City.

Salary: €4.165m

Probably what Roberto Mancini was earning last season.

9. Jurgen Klopp – Borussia Dortmund

Salary: €4.3m

Worth every penny as his exciting brand of football and success with bringing Dortmund out of the dark ages has made him the talk of Europe.

8. Gerardo Martino – Barcelona

Salary: €5.4m

The new Barca coach will be feeling the pressure to deliver in his first year in charge on such a hefty salary.

7. David Moyes – Manchester United

Salary: €5.9m

The new United boss wouldn’t have been on anything near this figure during his time at Everton.

6. Carlo Ancelotti – Real Madrid

Salary: €7.5m

There’s a certain price he’ll pay should he fail to dethrone Barcelona from the top of the Spanish table.

5. Fabio Capello – Russia

Salary: €7.8m

The highest paid national team boss on the list. Russia are hoping to buy a successful coach, but must have forgot what he did whilst in charge of England.

4. Arsene Wenger – Arsenal

Salary: €8.26m

Wenger has just seen his contract renegotiated and a significant jump in salary has come with it.

3. Marcello Lippi – Guangzhou Evergrande

Salary: €10m

So far the Chinese football experiment has not worked out so well, but Lippi has decided to stick around.

2. Jose Mourinho – Chelsea

Salary: €10.3m

Roman Abramovic made sure to lay out a big fee to secure the Special One’s return to Stamford Bridge.

1. Pep Guardiola – Bayern Munich

Salary: €17m

Head and shoulders the best paid manager in the world. Already proving good value for money as Bayern look to emulate the success of last season.
